Rugged aisle racks are a form of heavy-duty racks. Because the forklift handling channels of their racking systems are relatively narrow, they are called Rugged aisle racks or accommodating aisle racks. The narrow aisle racks have become smaller because of the smaller aisles, and the increased density of the racks has increased the storage capacity by 40%-60%, but the rack aisles have higher requirements for forklifts. Only dedicated forklifts (three-way forklifts) for the aisle can be used. Since the three-way forklifts do not need to turn in the shelf aisle, the forklift forks can rotate 180 degrees to access the goods, so the forklift handling aisles are relatively narrow in comparison.
The more prominent feature of storage lane racks lies in the word "capacity". The rack channel is about 1600mm-2000mm, which greatly improves the utilization rate of warehouse space. In this era of large amounts of money, increasing storage capacity means saving land. It also saves costs.
The main body of the narrow aisle racking system is a beam type rack, the difference is that the movable guide rail of the "three-way stacking forklift" is installed on the floor of the bottom of the rack. The guide rail is conventionally made of unequal angle steel. Material handling forklifts are limited to dedicated "three-way stacking forklifts". The three-way stacking forklift slides along the established guide rail. The width of the stacking channel of the racking system is slightly larger than the width of the palletized goods, and the demand for high-density storage can be realized. At the same time, it inherits all the advantages of the beam racking system. All materials stored in the racking system are 100% optional, and the forklift can store any pallet of goods at any time. Fast storage efficiency and very high storage density bring significant production efficiency and cost-effectiveness to storage and logistics centers that are suitable for the use of storage lane racking systems.
